We provide affordable golfing opportunities and have eight municipal golf courses at six locations throughout the city. Historically, golfers used mounds of sand to raise the ball, and containers of sand have been provided for the purpose. The sport at the highest stage is played on a course with an arranged progression of 18 holes, though recreational courses will be smaller, often 9 holes. These design issues will affect how even a scratch golfer would play the opening, irrespective of whole distance from tee to inexperienced, and have to be included in a willpower of par.
